Full facade strip-back and restoration. Render removal, brick repairs, repointing, and new finishes applied properly.
Render Replacement
Removal of failed or cracked render and replacement with the correct system. Sand and cement, acrylic, or lime render matched to the building.
Structural Upgrades
Lintel replacement, crack stitching, and reinforcement of structural elements. Done to engineer specifications.

How long does a full building restoration take?
Depends on size and condition. A typical terrace facade takes 4 to 6 weeks. A larger apartment block or commercial facade can take 3 to 6 months. Minas gives a realistic timeline after inspecting the site.
Do you work on strata buildings?
Yes. We work with strata managers and owners corporations regularly. We provide detailed scopes, staged payment options, all insurance and WHS documentation, and keep all parties informed throughout the project.
Can you match the existing render or finish?
Yes. We take samples and match colour, texture and profile of the original finish — roughcast, bagged, float-finished, whatever is there. For heritage buildings we use breathable lime-based systems instead of modern cement render.
Will scaffolding be needed?
For most facade work, yes. We organise all scaffolding, council permits for footpath occupation, and WHS requirements. It is all included in the quote — no surprise add-ons.
What is the difference between restoration and renovation?
Restoration brings a building back to its original condition using original or matched materials and techniques. Renovation updates or modifies a building for modern use. Heritage work is always restoration; general building upgrades are often renovation. We do both but our specialty is restoration.
How much does a full facade restoration cost?
For a terrace, typical front facade restoration (repointing, render repairs, balcony work, paint) runs $25,000 to $80,000. Full external $60,000 to $150,000. Commercial facades on apartment blocks can run $100,000 to $500,000+. Scope varies enormously — firm quote after inspection.
Do we need to move out during restoration work?
No. Almost all building restoration is external and tenants stay in place throughout. We stage work, manage dust and noise, and coordinate to minimise disruption.
